Weeds growing up worn steps.

A new route always offers new views. This one was waiting for me as I turned that first corner. If this subject had not been sitting in soft diffused light, I’m sure I would have walked right by it. Never giving it a second thought.

But it was, sitting quietly, in what my eye considers perfect light. I made a few exposures as I did my own little dance. Left, then right. A little closer, then two steps back.

The edit was simple as well, a few minor tweaks and I called it complete. I am enchanted with the limited range of color, the soft light, and how the greens climb these worn steps. Simply, a delicious visual feast.

Vines growing along power lines.

I often have to remind myself to look up every so often. I get so absorbed with what is happening at eye level, and below. I just happened to glance up and the vines growing down the wires, stopped me in my tracks.

Of course, my first thought was my pal, Rodrigo S-C. My own fascination with power lines is inspired by him. I have never seen something growing along an electric trellis. Now I have!
