This piece struck a deep chord for me.

The penguin was my son's favorite creature.

I was a guitar builder at the time. For his fifth birthday I built him a three quarter size arch top guitar. And I inlayed a penguin on the headstock in mother of pearl and abalone shell.

He never became a guitar player. Still I know I did my part to celebrate him.
