Candid Portraits Of People On The Street, Going About Their Daily Lives

Yes, three generations of women and girls celebrating a daughter’s graduation from nursing school.

I love that the only man is the photographer, though I would have preferred to see a woman behind the camera also. This candid portrait would have felt more complete that way. Oh well, one can always dream.

I also love the grandmother’s watchful and protective gaze.

They are right in front of the main door to the Santo Domingo Cathedral. The Agave garden in yesterday’s story is right behind them. The Cathedral grounds are a very popular location for special event photos. I rarely walk by and not see people having formal portraits made here.

This looks like a mother and daughter to me. Of course I’m only guessing. This long planter and bench runs along the street that faces the Cathedral. If they were looking straight ahead they would see the women and girl in the lead photo.

This bench is rarely empty. It has a perfect view of the Cathedral and all that goes on here. And there is always something going on here!
