A Guy’s Just Gotta Say Thanks, To Those Who Welcomed Him To The Party

I woke up this morning thinking about all the lovely friends who have read my stories, encouraged me, and welcomed me to the party here. Being Sunday and all, my thoughts turned to gratitude, the gratitude I feel for all of you.

Even at seventy, I’m still a mushy guy, perhaps more so now because I am seventy. Go figure.

As I went walking with my camera this beautiful morning in Oaxaca, my thoughts kept returning to this topic. Wondering how I might best express these feelings that wrapped me like a warm shawl of love.

Later as I sat in the light filled courtyard of my favorite cafe, this story still would not leave my consciousness. It was clear I needed to follow through on this one. Again, it was Sunday after all, a day to give thanks for blessings received. So here goes.

A blurred self portrait of giving thanks.

This list is in no particular order, just the names of friends that regularly express their support. A big Thanks, to every one of you.

Read their work, I promise you will not be disappointed. And you just might make a new friend!
