On the first of October I moved from the Xochimilco neighborhood, a couple of miles north to the San Felipe neighborhood. Experiencing new neighborhoods every couple of months keeps me on my toes, and my lens happy.

It also expands my experience of Oaxaca City. This is a fascinating city where adjoining neighborhoods can feel like night and day.

San Felipe feels worlds apart from Xochimilco. Though on the map they are next door neighbors.

Just a block a away from the street I am currently living on, is a street named after, Manual Alvarez Bravo. I have walked this nearly mile long stretch of street several times in the last few days.

It is always a very quiet stretch of walking. There is virtually no traffic on this street. Though there is plenty to interest my camera, as well as my thoughts and imagination.

Last evening as I walked back along this street, I was fascinated by the number of stairs leading to an upper level. An upper level that fronts on the main road above.
