September Begins — Part Three
The Walk Home Brings Smiles, Laughter, And Joy
After leaving Jardin Conzatti, I walked the three blocks to Calle Rufino Tamayo, without raising the camera to my eye. As soon as I stepped onto this path that leads towards home, I saw these Little Arquitos, through an open gate that is normally closed.
This is a bench made as a replica of the Arquitos along this small street. Arquitos in Spanish means little arches. So I call these the Little Arquitos, meaning, little, little arches.
Seeing this wonderful bench lifted my spirits and mood skyward. All was right in my world once more. I spent the rest of the walk home snapping pics of everything that caught my eye, that tickled me, and that made me laugh out loud.
All of the images in this three-part series were made on the first day of September. As I looked at my camera roll of these 52 shots, I noticed that they seemed to fall into three groups. It was this realization that prompted this series of stories.
The images in Part One were made in the small park, Jardin Conzatti, where I often photograph. They are rather light-hearted and joyful. They were clearly an effort to separate myself from a see-saw early morning, that began at 2AM.
