Remembering The 14th Of The Month

As I read a number of stories here this morning, I was struck by an odd common theme. At least half the stories I read were about memories, or reminiscences. Many were quite touching.

Reading these stories got me to thinking of my own memories. At my age I have a headful. Some great, others less so. And plenty are hardly worth remembering. Ah, how the human mind works.

I was inspired by much of what I read. I wondered what it was about the 14th of the month that prompted these stories. Perhaps just coincidence.

I spent a couple of hours walking near mid day. At several points I sat and watched what was going on around me, people watching mostly.

It occurred to me that all of them were making memories of their own. Each in their own way, on this 14th day of the month.
