I was sitting at Cafe Mundo Nuevo this afternoon, drinking a ‘pick me up’ cafe latte. I wanted to think about an idea that appeared out of the blue, a half hour earlier.

This idea was to pay a visual tribute to my friends on Medium. The ones who have supported me, read my stories regularly, and by doing so, unknowingly pushed me to keep writing. And hopefully get better along the way.

These folks are part of a larger community that makes this platform what it is. A community where wonderful writing, also includes a big dose of kindness and support.

This community is much like this rainbow, above my current home in the Barrio de la Noria neighborhood, of Oaxaca de Juarez.

Please know these names are in no particular order. The visual sequence was my guiding light. With each image, a certain writer came to mind. Again, my deep and sincere ‘Thanks’ to each and every one of you.

With great love, GE.

This first one is for JM Riordan. It was JM who informed me that this is an Apple Banana…
