It seems that every week in Oaxaca has a monochrome version. Some days I need to see in color. My camera insists on it. Other days only black and white will do.

Cameras are funny like that. They can often have a mind of their own. Like the muse is living inside them.

And I always thought the muse was an extension of my soul. These days I am certain I will never know for sure.

And now I find it no longer matters, as long as she continues to show up for her job. I know she did today, and I thank her sweet heart.

Geometry is a different beast altogether. I took a geometry class when I was a sophomore in high school. At my age I only have fuzzy memories of high school, thankfully.

Now I know I can easily find geometry lessons on the street. Life is so much more rewarding this way. It’s also a lot more fun.

My camera is my favorite geometry teacher. She is kind, funny, and smart. She also knows when to push me, and when to let me slide. I realize I am a very lucky geometry student these days.
