Great piece here, Derrick. And I couldn't agree more. I don't remember the last time I put one of my Fiji lenses on my X-Pro2. Love all the characteristics you mentioned by shooting with manual focus lenses. It also feels so much more like the photography experiences I grew to love before digital cameras came along. A lovely blend of the old and new. I hope this story convinces others to give it a try!
