Great article, JM. Straw bales are an amazing building material. I did a lot of research on straw bale construction in the mid '90's, with plans to build a straw bale home. Then life took a different direction.

The book, "Straw Bale Construction" was a great resource. Bale walls are also 'breathable' Which I fine a real plus.
