Walking An Alternate Path, I Discovered My New Favorite Cafe

Oaxaca City covers 33 square miles according to Google. I’m sure I have covered most of them. I walk three to four miles every morning with my camera.

Most of my routes depend on where I feel like taking photos. Some destinations are good for street photography. Some are better for finding interesting still life subjects. Others have the best street art and graffiti.

There are certain routes that I have walked often, and end up making variations of the same subjects. It’s fun to compare the differences of lens choice, angle, and perspective. It is true, we never stand in the same river twice, nor on the same street.

This morning after getting out of my immediate neighborhood, I turned left sooner than normal. Then turned right where I often keep going forward.

Within a few blocks I was in unfamiliar territory. I could feel my curiosity grow. The large wall mural above was one of my first finds. There was nothing to identify who this mystery man is.
