Creativity overflows in all aspects of Oaxaca life. I have never experienced this level of artfulness in one city before. Joyful, colorful artistic flourishes are found on every block. I have never felt so at home as an artist.

Artistic expression informs all that goes on here. It is in the collective soul of this city, it runs in the blood of all it’s inhabitants. If a task is to be performed, it will be done in a creative state of mind and in a creative fashion.

It is in the way people dress. In their homes. In the way they do their jobs. In the food they prepare. In their worship. In the way they communicate through song, dance, and words. It is how the people of Oaxaca live their lives.
