As I ventured out onto the street this morning, this song came to mind. From seemingly out of no where. Like they always do. It also seemed timely.

Sitting in a park in Paris, France
Reading the news and it sure looks bad
They won’t give peace a chance
That was just a dream some of us had . . . Joni Mitchell — “California”

Decomposing art becomes new abstract art.

The next thing I knew, my camera seemed to have a mind of her own. When she does this, I know enough to follow her lead, while listening closely. She was zeroed in on abstract views.

We were on the trail of pieces and fragments, of stories written on the walls, of this ancient, and artistic city. A city that honors both free expression, and dissenting opinions.

All of this fit, like hand in glove, with my morning mood. I gladly slipped into a metaphoric mode, finding snippets that reflected the abstracted craziness of our world.
