This one is a playful mystery to me. I have passed by a number of times, and the roll up door is always closed. There is no signage to indicate what these playful skulls are about.

Small businesses often come and go quickly in Oaxaca City. I have watched store fronts and interiors go through extensive renovations, at what appear to be a substantial investments.

There will be a version of a grand opening. Though I see few customers during the first couple of weeks. A month later the space is empty with a new ‘For Rent’ sign taped to the door.

The Mexican people are a creative bunch. I wonder often about the creative impulse to open a new business. I also wonder about how much research went into the initial decision to do so.

This image reminds me of staring into a dense jungle, though in real life I have never done so. I am also aware I have not seen this particular tree before.

Perhaps it only grows at the slightly higher elevation found here in the San Felipe del Agua neighborhood.
