A fine story, Rodrigo. It brings back memories of living in the Pacific Northwest. Being raised in the desert, I had no idea of how green, damp, and magical a rain forest can be.

Several years ago I spent six weeks living on the coast of Tasmania. While there I made a day trip to the rain forest on the island. It looked just like what I had experienced in Oregon.

Afterwards I looked up the latitude. Tasmania is nearly the same as Oregon, though opposite hemispheres, of course. This bit of information put our planet in a different perspective for me.
