I grew up in Phoenix and Tucson, the Sonoran desert was my playground. In my teenage years I became aware of just how prehistoric this landscape and its inhabitants are. Otherworldly is an understatement. The big guys, like the one you photographed, I consider old friends. They are never far from my heart.
